EG: What strategies would you say remain universal in the successful sale of multimillion dollar real estate?

 

Peg Augustus: For more than 30 years I have been involved in helping buyers and sellers meet their real estate needs in Incline Village.  Thoroughly knowing the Incline Village real estate market, the unique homes, as well as the specific areas and neighbourhoods puts me in a position to help my clients make the best real estate decisions for them.  Maintaining a positive professional link of communication throughout the years assures Buyers and Sellers that I am here to help them even after close of escrow.

 

EG: Incline Village is known as a haven for wealthy individuals from Southern Nevada and California. What makes this region so appealing?
 

PA: Lake Tahoe is an amazingly beautiful place to live with remarkable scenery and Incline Village is the premier community on the lake. The Village’s amenities include Diamond Peak Ski Resort, 2 Robert Trent Jones golf courses, 3 private beaches, a tennis complex, Recreation Center, and numerous hiking and biking trails throughout the area. And if you enjoy a little gambling, the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe with spa, casino, and lakefront dining is also in Incline Village. One huge advantage of making Incline Village your primary home is the attractive tax advantages Nevada offers. Couple all that with a small town atmosphere, almost no traffic and friendly residents, it is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
 

EG: As a 30 year veteran in the Incline Village Market, what have you learned about the importance of strategic timing?

 

PA: The real estate market is constantly changing and it is important to be aware of market trends, economic factors, and seasonality. Our market is heavily influenced by what is happening in the San Francisco Bay Area and greater Los Angeles market, as well as the stock market.

EG: Tell us more about the Smart Home Selling System

 

PA: My Smart Home Selling System is a 32-Step Marketing Plan devised for Seller’s to obtain the maximum value for the sale of their homes. We start implementing the system even before the property is ready for the market with our Home Preparation Checklist. Then we prepare a marketing plan specifically for each property and follow it through to a successful closing, keeping our clients informed every step of the way.
 

EG: As a major tourist attraction, how may Lake Tahoe present advantages in the strategic marketing of homes?

PA: Lake Tahoe is a place of awe-inspiring beauty that attracts people from all over the world, whether they are interested in simply enjoying the magnificent scenery and serenity of the lake or want to partake in the numerous outdoor activities.  Add to that Incline Village’s superb amenities and the Nevada tax benefits, our village is truly a place to call home.

EG: You achieved a distinction for the top 1% of real estate agents in America, what advice would you give home buyers moving to Lake Tahoe?

PA: I would suggest buyers work with an agent who really knows the local area and can help them determine what is most important to them in the home they choose at Lake Tahoe, whether it will be a primary home or vacation home.  Many times the perfect property is not listed in the Multiple Listing Service, often due to confidentiality concerns, so it takes a local Realtor to know where to find these extraordinary properties. 

EG: You have several wonderful testimonials. What should clients look forward to when working with you? 

PA: Incline Village is a second and third home market and we realise sellers are not always in residence during the sale of their home. We handle all the details from organising repairs, cleaning, packing, home staging, etc. in addition to all the paperwork involved with escrow and title, and even helping with the final move-out.  My team and I go the extra mile so our clients don’t have to.   EG
