An Interview with Petra Sarke
Managing Director, RMP Eventservice GmbH

Our special interview on with PETRA SARKE, Managing Director of RMP Eventservice GmbH, highlights the dynamic firm offering services for concerts, trade fairs, festivals and large scale corporate events in Switzerland and beyond. Executive Global sits down with this unique and award-winning company to find out what it takes to succeed in the highest levels of event management with a team that is unique, creative, and flexible.

Executive Global: What are some of the most rewarding factors and greatest challenges associated with successfully coordinating crew management and event organisation for a big production?

Petra Sarke: The biggest reward is watching a crew of 200 people – from stagehands to runners – move like one heartbeat. The greatest challenge? Keeping that heartbeat steady under extreme pressure, tight deadlines, and constant change. Success means leadership through trust, communication, and respect – not control.

EG: How does your capable team maintain safety standards and coordinate efficiently across large scale events, and what role may some of your innovative technologies play in this?

PS: Safety is not a checklist – it’s a mindset. Every RMP crew member knows that life is worth more than any piece of equipment. That belief is part of our DNA. We regularly train and brief our crews – from PSAgA and forklift basics, to our own Stagehand Basic courses – where safety awareness is a key element in everything we do. We use digital crew coordination tools to ensure structure and timing, but at the end of the day, it’s awareness, teamwork, and attitude that protect people – not software.

EG: What is it that makes Switzerland the ideal jurisdiction for Meetings Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions?

PS: Switzerland offers precision, reliability, and infrastructure that match world-class expectations. Add a multicultural workforce, punctual logistics, and breathtaking venues – it’s simply built for excellence.

EG: Your company employs 50-250 people seasonally and RMP Eventservice GmbH is making a positive contribution to Switzerland’s economy. How do you think that Swiss government leadership can accelerate small business growth and wealth creation for entrepreneurs?

PS: By trusting small companies more and cutting bureaucracy. Entrepreneurs thrive when the system empowers flexibility instead of slowing it down. Innovation grows from passion, not paperwork.

EG: From coordinating the Eurovision Song Contest, to the UEFA Women’s football tournament, what are some of the ways in which RMP Eventservice GmbH has distinguished itself to become the award-winning firm that has attracts such prestigious clients today?

PS: We deliver – no excuses. From Eurovision Song Contest to UEFA Women’s EURO, our team proved that Swiss reliability can have rock ’n’ roll energy. We combine discipline with creativity, and we protect every brand we serve as if it were our own. That’s why global clients trust us.

EG: You have also successfully organised, planned and coordinated events for high profile artists including Ed Sheeran, Pet Shop Boys, Elton John, Bryan Adams and Adele. What has your experience serving clients taught you about quality customer service?

PS: Working for artists like Ed Sheeran or Elton John teaches you one thing: perfection happens backstage. True service means seeing problems before they appear and delivering calm in the middle of chaos. Respect, loyalty, and honesty are non-negotiable.

EG: Your track record speaks for itself. What can companies expect when working with RMP Eventservice GmbH?

PS: Commitment. Passion. Precision. We stand for loyalty, fairness, flexibility, and team spirit – values that built our company from three people in 2016 to over 250 active crew members today. When you hire RMP, you don’t just hire a service. You hire a family that lives for this job.

WE ARE ONE – WE ARE RMP. Invisible Heroes.
